Pediatrician at Home

A sick child is calmer in their own bed than in a waiting room full of other sick children. Our pediatricians visit at home, examine your child gently and at their pace, and talk you through exactly what to watch for overnight.

Common questions

Pediatrician at Home — your questions

Can the pediatrician give vaccinations at the visit?

Yes, routine childhood immunisations can be given at home once your child is well. Tell us in advance so the correct vaccine is brought in a cold chain.

My child has a very high fever — should I wait for a home visit?

If your child is under three months old with any fever, is drowsy and hard to rouse, is breathing quickly or has a rash that does not fade under pressure, go to an emergency department or call 998 now rather than waiting.

Tell us what you need. We will call you.

We do not publish a phone number — we call you instead. Leave your number and a coordinator will be in touch within minutes to arrange the visit.
